To get rid of it, you can open a command window Start menu Run I have been ripping my hair out for several hours trying to get this thing working and for once I wasn't the weakest link!! Thank you for the help and the program Dang, I just realized that I was the weakest link because I didn't have the newest version. That was a short lived victory Even a dog has his day, when do I get mine??
Thank you for the help. I read all the help files before, but there's so much information that I did not notice this little section. Unfortunately I encountered the next problem immediately: When FSX is loading the flight and TP is loading its files , the ProxyUser window shows a "[tiles] per second" number of around TP generates almost no download traffic, according to what my Firewall says. It takes around 30 minutes to complete the first "circle" in the ProxyUser window.
I guess that's supposed to work faster, isn't it? When I quit TP and let FSX complete the loading, the scenery is quite messed up I can refresh it though, and the standard scenery is active then. Any ideas why it works so slow?
If I understood correctly, the tiles per second number in the window should be around during the loading? I guess that would mean about 10 minutes is a common loading time for a flight? Yes, AntiVir. I read about possible interferences in the manual, but I think disabling it for hours is not a good solution. I think I will test it today for a few minutes though. You've still got the firewall that protects you. Just stay away from Internet Explorer while the virus scanner is off.
McAfee Anti-virus, which I had before, was indeed the problem. I now run AntiVir instead and it works perfectly together with TileProxy no difference seen between active and not active. I get download rates of around tiles per second from all 4 services and a flight loads in minutes. With FSX running the speed is at around tps. But here's the latest addition to the never-ending story : While earlier it downloaded jpeg tile files to the cache folder 2 during the installation it asks for two cache folders, I'm referring to the lower correctly, it now refuses to do so.
Not even the folders like "cache. TP provides satellite photo-realistic scenery for FSX. Therefore, speeding up the number of photo-realistic tiles to be processed per second. TileProxy provides real-time photorealistic satellite imagery in place of the stock auto generated FSX scenery or any other scenery package.
This airport was originally released as part of an FSX airport scenery package containing 21 airports, located in New Hampshire and Vermont. This file is not required, but allows you to download 21 related airports. The 2B3 Parlin Field airport in the original 21 airport package was missing a required scenery file which corrects the airport altitude from ft. This download provides all three of the required. The airport has a very short, upslope runway of only m 1, ft.
The airport is considered one of the seven most dangerous in the world. It has a difficult approach, a foot upslope runway and is adjacent to the Courchevel ski runs. The Courchevel airport altitude is the highest in Europe, with a mean elevation of 6, feet. The Courchevel airport was originally released as part of an FSX airport scenery package containing 15 airports, located in the French Alps. The link to the original 15 French Alps Airport package is shown below.
This file is not required, but allows you to download 15 related French Alps airports.
